Wizards

Have you ever completed a form online in which the form contains “Next” and “Back” buttons? That form is known as a “wizard.” Wizards control the movement of the user through the use of these buttons, and the user cannot deviate from that ordered movement.

Have you ever purchased a firearm at Cabela’s? After you select the model you want, the salesperson escorts you to a stand-alone computer and has you complete Section B of the 4473. The method by which you enter personal information and select “Yes” or “No” is a wizard. Each wizard page contains a few pieces of information. To continue adding information, you click the “Next” button, and the wizard takes you to the next series of questions or fields.

FFLAssist was designed in the same manner as Cabela’s. This allows you to use separate computers in your place of business and/or at gun shows. One computer, let’s call it the “main” computer, is for you, the agent.  And the other computer is for your customers to use to complete Section B. At gun shows, you keep the main computer at your main table, the table where you keep your lunch or your coffee. You place the customer’s computer, usually a tablet or laptop, in front of the chair where the customer can sit and complete Section B via a Section B Wizard.

If you desire the ability to have multiple customers complete each respective Section B simultaneously, you simply invest in an identical tablet/laptop and place the two customer computers side-by-side, each in front of the customer chairs. And because FFLAssist works in the cloud, there is no software to install on additional tablets/laptops. Simply bring up an internet browser, enter the bookmarked URL, and log in to your FFLAssist account.
